The senior management has just approved a change request. What will you do first?

c. Estimate activity resources.
d. Control scope.

Answer to question and explanation

The correct answer is d. Control scope.

Explanation: the first thing to do is controlling the scope of the project. You need to identify if and how the approved change request affects the scope. Remember that project scope management leads project time management therefore answer c. Estimate activity resources. is an action you will need to perform afterwards, after the impact on the scope has been identified. Action b. Identify risks. is also coming after the new baselines have been drafted. Answer a. Monitor and control project work. instead is clearly wrong.
